North Texas Rod and Custom, Inc. has been building some of the country's nicest street rods, customs, muscle cars, and drag cars since 1986, making us one of the oldest specialty car shops in the DFW area. We offer complete full turnkey in-house builds, as well as partials. We specialize in Mustang II tubular upgrades including Fatman, Heights, Progressive, and Street Rod Engineering. We are also dealers for Wilwood, Moser Engr., Classic Auto Air, Budnik, Hoosier, Summit (ATech) Motorsports, as well as many more. Show stopping custom paint is supplied by PPG, Dupont, or House of Color.
Located just east of Dallas and Ft. Worth, we service all of North and East Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, and we are proud to say we have built many long distance full turn-key custom rides from all over the country, including California and Florida.
We hope you take time to check out all our pages, but please look at our ABOUT US for a preview of the site with many photos. We have included builds in progress as well as many finished full turn-key custom built 'Dream Rides'. We have separated these into categories more easily searched.
Do you want a nice daily driver, or enough power to get into trouble with? Take a look at all the variety we offer on our ENGINE AND DRIVELINE page where the term 'mild to wild' comes into reality. We certainly make sure any level of power be able to be put down to the pavement and controlled with an equal amount of 'whoa'. Independent front suspension, 4-link rear suspensions, and power disc brakes are our most requested upgrades, check out our CHASSIS SHOP page for many pics.
Every project needs some sort of SHEET METAL repair of modification. We are, sadly, well experienced in repairing or replacing floor pans, quarter panels, roofs, fenders, and virtually every part of the body.
Every nice ride deserves heat and air, a new set of gauges, a nice sound system, power windows, and all the little comforts. We build our own custom wire harnesses, built into your ride for a truly clean custom look and fit. See some examples on our ELECTRICAL page.
